1992 Chevy Blazer leaking fuel
My 1992 full size Chevy Blazer is leaking fuel from the lines connecting to the tank in the rear. It seems like a hose clamp is loose on a rubber line going to the tank, or it’s leaking where the clamp is at. Is this a cheap and easy fix? What’s the best way to reliably patch/repair it? The blazer is kind of a beater so I don’t need to pamper it LOL
Those tank hoses are often rotted, replace all of them. Its not good enough to just cut a metal line and slide a hose on, there MUST be a flare end to stretch the rubber. If you dont have a flaring tool, and might not be able to get one in there anyway, a brass compression ferrule would work.
So then I’m kind of forced to buy the $200 lines and run them all the way back? I’m willing to do that if it’s worth it. However rn the blazer barely runs sometimes like it’s misfiring bad or out of gas, I hope the fuel leaking is to blame.
