4L60e converter cover

Default 4L60e converter cover

Hi guys, recently I get a new tranny and it didnt come with the torque converter cover, I need to get a new one (my mechanic loose te original...), it's a 93 model, can I use any year cover??? or only this year???

Where can I buy one??? I've been looking but I didnt find it.

you mean the little shield that bolts to the bottom of the transmission? you dont really NEED that to drive the truck. i used to leave them off alot of my truck. itll help keep foreign objects from getting stuck up there. theres been a few times offroading where sticks would go in there and make a bunch of noise lol but never broke anything.

but you can probably try ebay or car-part.com and see if you can find one. might be one of those hard to find parts.

i would GUESS that the 93 has the 4l60 trans which is basically a 700r4 case. you can probably find one off of anything from like 84 up but im not 100% sure. might be stupid little changes in bolt holes and such

I'm driving my truck without the cover, but only for street. As I'm a sand lover I dont think its a good idea to go off roading this way... sand its dangerous for trannys.
