4x4 shifter
I have a 72 with an LS swap in it (bought it that way) the dude said he couldnt get teh original shifter in it so im wondering if he just didnt want to or do i really have to get a new shifter or will the stock one work? or can i heat it up and bend it to the correct spot or what ever.

It depends on few things. Does your transmission to transfer case adapter have the threaded mounting hole on the side for the stock shifter? The JB shifters you linked to also require it. Also, did the engine swap change the location of the transfer case relative to the body, so the shifter won't come up through the stock hole in the floor anymore?
Those shifters you linked to are great if you can use them. I ran them for years before upgrading from a NP205 to an Atlas. Unfortunately, I just sold the shifters with the transfer case.
If you can't use those for whatever reason, there's also the cable-type that will fit pretty much anything. They're a little more expensive, though.
If you do end up getting twin sticks, you'll need to buy and install the modified shift rails to go with them. Otherwise, they won't shift right and you won't have independent control over front and rear, as intended.

yeah its an LS with a 4L80E and the spacer is 1/2 inch wide,dont know about the threaded mounting hole so i will have to check when the snow melts, damn colorado lol.
about the position of the transfer case location, yes it changed, new cross member and all, dude did a real super clean job with this thing except for the shifter.... and a few electronic issues that ive figured out.
do i have to get the shift rail or can i modify the existing ones? if i have to get the new shifter rails I may as well get the cabel shifter as they will equal the cost of the twin shifter eh? or will i have to get the rails for it too.
the dude at JB told me that the twin sticks would be best because i dont have 4" of clearance between my tranny and the floorboard but he did not mention the shifter rails, i will email him back. I do however like the look of the cable shifter only if i could mount it inside and punch a hole behind the driver seat for the cabels

You can modify the shift rails. There are instructions online. I just chose to buy them and avoid the hassle. I'm not very familiar with the details of the cable shifter, since I had the direct-mount ones, but I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work. All of his stuff is really well made, BTW, so you don't have to worry that you're buying junk.
