Question 700R4 rear seal question.

I hate asking questions as much as the next guy, because that means there is something wrong with my Blazer that I can't fix or clueless about. Anyways I have a 1988 K5 with a newly rebuild 700R4 tranny that is now leaking fluid into the t-case. My mechanic told me that the 700R4 does not have a rear seal and that its the t-case seal that keep the fluids in each unit seperate. I'm asking this to figure out if my mechanic is telling me the truth or if he is just trying to weasle out of the warranty to fix it which I hope he is not. Thanks

Respectfully

He speaks the truth. If I had redone the transmission though, I would have urged you to replace it while the transfer case was out.

Well thanks for clarifying that for me, now that I think back I think he ask me if I wanted to replace that T-case seal, but I had to listen to my wife when she started on me about saving some $$. LMAO Well live and learn right. I appreciate your help brother.
