Default '79 K5 carb set up

Hello all.

I'm reinstalling my motor in my '79 and I do not need the emissions gear anymore as it is to old to be regulated by the state. I have a 350 4bbl and everything in the engine bay is stock w/AC. What can I get rid of, and how do i need to set up my carb for vacuum/cap off? I know this question could be a bit broad, so I will narrow down info as it comes up if there is confusion or more data is needed. I've never been good with carbs at all as my buddies did most of that while we wrenched on things, so I just never got exposed to it I guess.

I dont have money for a new carb or intake or stuff like that. Smaller things more budget friendly are ok. Sorry, just been out of work for a while.

The manual says the truck comes with rochester carbs, but after looking mine over, it says made by Carter.

I have removed stock exhaust manifolds for headers and removed the cat/conv.

I'd like to remove the big "can" filter assembly on front next to radiator. Is this part of it? I believe it's part of the emissions...

Basically, what can I get rid of and clean up my engine bay and what do I cap off or reroute after it's all gone?

Thanks for the help.

i didnt know these trucks even came with charcoal canisters. everyone i ever bought must have been gutted. basically all you need is the vacuum to the distributor and one going inside the cab if you even have the vacuum controlled heater controls.

Great!

I think I have a pic or two of it. I'll see if I can upload it soon for info sake. I'll also start looking to cap off the extra lines. :-)

Thanks!
