Default 87-k-5 4wd

I have an 87 K5 Blazer 4WD that is stock. I am getting it in running condition and was wondering what would be the best shocks to put on this rig. It will be on the road and occational off road for hunting.

i wonder if shocks even matter on these trucks. the suspension is usually so stiff they dont really make a difference. the rear ones were blown on my old 85 when i replaced them i didnt notice one bit of difference.

Since you have the ole school blazer..I would take a look at the KYB shocks or the monroe shocks.Monroe has like 3 to 4 different style shocks to choose from.My father had a 82 4x4 silverado that had the monroe`s on it.It had a decent ride to it.But there`s so many co`s now that sell shocks today, sky`s the limit.Gabriel is another co. that has decent shocks.Monroe has a lifetime gaurantee on their shocks. It really all depends on what kind of money you want to spend. But look up summit racing.com.They have all kinds of options to choose from.

I went with the KYB's and it did make a big difference. However I still have some issues. While driving I have a bit of slop in the steering. Also tends to drift as well. I bought this K5 used and it has about 140K miles. What would be a good up-grade to make it handle like a new Tahoe or at least improve it big time?
