89 JIMMY 4x4 LINKAGE HELP
I recently bought an 89 Jimmy with the linkage missing for the 4x4 shifter to the transfer case.
I need your help..
Which lever? on the transfer case puts it into and out of 4H and at what position?
I fabricated my own linkage. Its just a couple steel rods welded to the shifter to engage 4H. I dont need the neutral or 4L.
attached is a pic of the Tcase that I need help with.
Does the inside lever go forward one 'click' for 4H?

is that a np203 transfercase? sure looks like it with that double shifter set up. that is a fulltime transfercase. well usually they are, sometimes you can lucky and someone converted it to part time. i had that case in my truck for a few years as a converted part time case and still have no idea how that thing works. i think the big lever is the 2h-4hi switch then the second lever swivels opposite to engage 4low.
but yeah double check the tag on the backside of the transfer case, it should say "np203" or np208 something like that. it should have a np208 or maybe even a np241 from the factory not that giant cast iron anchor
take a look and check back, if anything i believe i still have my complete shifter set up for this transfer case buried somewhere in my garage.
