Default 1993 k1500 chevy blazer

i need to replace the fuel pump in the gas tank for my 1993 chevy blazer k1500 5.7. I removed the scrape plate which was held on by 2 straps. I've looked everywhere on the gas tank, and there's nothing holding onto it, the only thing i can think of is there's bolts or screws on top on the tank, but i haven't seen a single sign of them. If anybody knows how to take it off (A video, diagram, description, etc) That'd be awesome

prybar usually works just did a 95 tahoe the other day which should be basically the same kinda truck and the tank just gets stuck/glued to the frame due the rubber they use. but yeah shouldnt be anything more then those two straps just becareful prying on it make sure you have something like a inch below it to catch it when it breaks free.

also another technique if youre not worried about the truck so much just cut a access panel in the bed

What abig84 said. I did my 1994 last year. I don't remember how I pried it off but the straps are all that holds it. Have a floor jack under it to try and catch it when it breaks free. another pair of hands is helpful, too. And while you have the fuel pump out go ahead and change the fuel gauge sender too. I didn't and when I got the tank back in and put gas in I realized my gauge didn't work. My nephew that is a mechanic that helped me drop the tank told me (after the fact), "oh yeah. I meant to tell you people usually change the fuel gauge sender, too." So now I have another project for when it warms up.
