Default 89 Jimmy F/S 5.7 Setting the timing!!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I disconnected Tan/black stripe on Driver side firewall and set the timing at 3 degrees to help a little with bigger tires. Specs call for 0 degrees. To get the truck to accelerate it takes a while. Once you reach the desired speed, runs very smooth. Any ideas???Thanks for looking....

Found on the driver side fire wall a plug that has to be disconnected in order to set a 0. Did that and bumped it a little for the bigger tires. Runs like a champ now. Thanks for the help!!!
