I would start with either a Haynes or Chilton repair manual available at most auto supply stores.

eBay is a good source for the original factory manuals.

Thanks for the comments. I did look an eBay but was unable to find anything that appeared to be "geniune". By that I mean, accurate diagrams, information, etc.

I guess I should have started my post by saying that I have very little knowledge of car mechanics. I am female but can read and follow directions (I know, big surprise .

As I will be relying on others (my boyfriend, brother, uncle, whoever I can talk into helping to help me restore the Blazer, I wanted to have information for myself (and others) to be able to refer to.

Thanks!

Gotta search for "1989 R/V Manual" and have a look at the results.

1989 GMC R/V SUBURBAN JIMMY P WIRING/ DIAGNOSIS MANUAL - $12.99
1989 Chevy R V P Truck Models Wiring Diagrams Manual - $12.99
1989 GMC Suburban Jimmy R/V Crew Cab service manual - $35
1989 GMC TRUCK VAN SIERRA JIMMY R V P G Service Manual - $39.96
1989 89 GMC R/V Truck G Van P Model Shop Service Manual - $19.99

The GMC ones are the same as the Chevy ones. R/V were the designations for the 2wd/4wd Suburban & Blazer/Jimmy of your vintage.
1989 Chevy R V P Light Truck & G-Van Service Manual - $45

It's funny that the Jimmy and K-5 are one in the same. Shows how little I know. My dad had an old Jimmy before he bought this K-5. I drove it for a year when I was in high school. It would fly and was great at getting air from jumping the railroad tracks.
