Default 92 full size wiper issues

I hope I am posting this in the right place. The wipers started this issue early this year, now I really need them. They seemed to work every time I turned them on to test them this last couple weeks, the weather was warm (not sure if that matters) Now today it's cold and rainy and they won't turn on. In the early spring if I turned the truck off and waited quite a while they would turn on if I kept starting the truck and testing them.
You can hear a faint sound when I try, almost like they are trying to work and can't.
My husband is not mechanically inclined AT ALL so any help would be appreciated so I can try and fix this.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

i know there was a issue with some of these motors with the circuit boards having issues with the soldering coming undone. my 90 had a similar issue where sometimes they wouldnt go on then they wouldnt go off. try turning them on and smacking the motor, if they work just get a new circuit board or entire motor.

the way i fixed mine was i actually wedged a bolt between the motor and firewall, and for some reason that actually worked and its been that way for about 2 years

Thanks I will try that. Today I made my husband go to the auto parts store and see about a new motor. $28.00 thats cheap. Is this hard to replace? Or hard for someone who hasn't done it before. I think I probably can do it with instuction

Common issue on these trucks, wiper motor circuit board goes bad due to poor factory soldering. Cheap, easy fix.
