Before throwing money and parts at it
Does the pump cycle and run for a few sec at first key on
Have you checked fuel pressure tests in the stickys in the 2nd gen section - do every step of the tests.
Starting fluid is a super dry explosive fuel use sparingly / rarely and with care.
Please instead of a term as in turn on for non starting how about something like won't start / won't run ect
turn on is ok but at first led me to think of no battery voltage ect. first

Pump sound is normal.
Do all the fuel tests
Are you sure there is fuel in tank or just guessing because the fuel gauge says it has fuel .....

Glad it was simple fix.
Years ago I had A Chevy pickup come into my shop - Gauge showed that it had a 1/2 tank of fuel.
The guy was positive the fuel pump was out, refused to let me trouble shoot it .
Lifted the bed replaced the pump and sending unit then put 5 gallons of fuel in that it needed in the first place .....
He who pays the bill is always right - well not always .....

Haha thx again man ... It's a project I bought off my older uncle .. so I was going based off what he had told me but I should've known to check first ya know .. but definitely thx again .. now that I know it starts and runs I'd like to change the oil and flush the tranny out... That was a main concern of mine to actually know it stayed running ... Thx again

Gotta have a project - keeps the mind sharp -
Only do a pan drop and filter change, replace only the fluid you remove by dropping the pan - DO NOT do a transmission flush on a older transmission with high mileage it needs some of the old grit left in oil - it helps the older clutches to bite and not slip
