ac compressor clutch cycles on fresh start
hi. newbie here. my 88 K5 has recently (and more and more consistently) started cycling the ac compressor clutch. at least that is what I think the issue is.
I have a vid of it here: Blazer ac clutch cycling on and off - YouTube
Is this causing any damage currently running like this?
What should I do to further diagnose if necessary?
What can I do to fix this?
My guess is I buy this: 88 1988 Chevrolet Blazer A/C Compressor - Climate Control - Austin Baker, Four Seasons - PartsGeek
and then "throw it in", and I will be back to AC bliss?
How difficult is this replacement? Does anyone have a favorite link for such?
Thanks in advance. I'm not very experienced fixing up cars, but want to start doing more on my own. The biggest job I've done on my own in the past is replace an alternator... like I said, pretty inexperienced.

I wouldnt recommend trying toe AC yourself...you're going to have to crack the lines on the pump, and you'll release all the R12(likely in your year) to the atmosphere. On your HVAC, inside the truck, do you have it set to 'defog'? Whenever you use Defog, your truck turns the AC on to remove the moisture in the cabin.
