Default Aftermarket alarm system from PO?

Well we got a 90 k5 blazer a few months ago and I realized when looking under the dash, that there is an aftermarket alarm system in it. We never got a remote or anything for it. Do I just need to remove it or see if I can find out the brand and stuff and hook it back up? There are tons of extra wires from the alarm system, just eyeballing it. If I need to remove it, any suggestions on getting it out?

If it isn't in the way and you dn't care about some extra wires under there I'd just make sure that the power wires were disconnected and leave it be.

i always rip them out. older alarm systems are usually pretty easy to get out, they usually just cut into 1 or 2 wires, and you can look under the dash and basically see the wires that are cut in two with the alarm wires connecting them.

Follow the wires, they will lead you right to everything.
