Default Brake Bleeding

I replaced the anti-lock mechanism on the front fender and tried bleeding it with the 2 bleed screws and didn't ave much lock with it. I took it to the mechanic I use when I have something over my head. He said they didn't have the time to bleed it and the brakes this afternoon. They said it can be difficult to do sometimes. Is there something particularly difficult to do that?

yea, if you go in with a full feature scan tool like a tech 2 or snap-on modis you can do a procedure thats called "automated bleed". it basicly cycles the ABS motor and opens and closes all the internal valves whichs helps get all the air out. then you bleed the brakes as normal and keep doing that procedure until all the air is out. now another wayt to do it if you dont have access to a full feature scan tool is to bleed the brakes the best you can and then drive the truck on loose gravel or grass (grass allways worked the best for me) then slam on the brakes, making the ABS motor activate and that moves the air to the lines, then bleed the brakes to get the air out, and keep doing this until you get a firm pedal. *CAUTION* You only need to drive around 15 MPH and be careful becasue when you move air from the block to the lines you may loose most of your brake pedal. so do this only if you cant do automated bleed and do it in a open area.
