hey yall i had the problem when i was mgoin slow or in reverse the 78 blazer 4wd would die and it disels after i stop i chnged the egr i took it to a guy and he says its the accelerator pump in my carb does that sound like what would cause this because i havent even thought about that

 

Doesn't sound like a accelerator pump problem. That is usually a problem when you try to accelerate quickly. Dieseling is usually a spark plug heat range, timing or possible carbon build-up issue. But I'm no expert.
I'm sure some one will be along soon to let you know what I missed lol.

 

yeh i thought it was timeing but i did that 3 time i then thought it was an egr problem so i changed the changed the thermo switch thing he said my vaccuum hoses were right so i hope hes not screwin me
