i found the following link showing how to "Epoxy" seal thje wells. if this will hold for a year or two, this will be fine with me (till i get a new Carb)

The trick with dowsing the plugs with epoxy is to get things really clean and free of all petroleum products (gas, grease, oil, etc). Then to slightly etch the surfaces involved to give the epoxy something to bite into. I have seen seal jobs like shown in the article you linked to last only a few weeks due to poor cleaning.

Great, then i guess i'll test my mech abilities next week , hope i don't mess things up. this week i'm insulating the firewall
