Default drive shaft???

I have a 87 k5 blazer and I have found a few full floating 14 bolts but I am curious if I need to swap my drive shaft and if so does anyone have any input on where and I what I should look for in the new drive shaft. Also if there is another truck with a slip yoke that I could use. All advice would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: drive shaft???

you dont really need to swap... if its to long have it cut to size... if the yoke for the u-joint is a different size... you can go to a truck shop that deals with drive lines and drive shafts and they will be able to provide you with wth is called a converson U-join. These u joins have differnt sized bearing caps on one axis then the other... or one axis is larger or longer then the other.... so 9 out of ten times you never need to replace a drive shaft when doing a converson project UNLESS your drive shaft is to short!
