I'm a real "new guy" to the Blazer business ...Help!
My son is looking at a 96 2dr Blazer with 140K miles. Seems to have been well taken care of , original owner, minimum off roading , BUT ... I noticed that the left rear axle has what I would call significant axial end play (just by pulling and pushing on the top of the rear tire with weight on the vehicle)
Is this indication of excessive wheel bearing wear ( something I havereplaced before on p/u trucks ) OR serious differential problems ( read $$$$) ?
Thanks for "listening"
Rog

I'M AM AN IDIOT !
The subject line should have been " REAR AXLE END PLAY", notdriveshaft !
On some forums you can edit old postings, I don't think there is that option here.
Thanks again ,
Roger
