I have a 1990 GMC Jimmy 5.7L Fullsize. I was looking the at the exhaust system and i noticed the o2 sensor was up by the headers and i didn't see a cat any place on the system. i was wondering if cany body has a picture or know where I can get a picture of what the stock exhaust systemshould look like.

I was wondering what kind of setup people are running. i am going to go with true duals. What mufflers are you running.

I run thrush welds on my blazer and they sound great and not to badly priced either

 

i have a 74 so no kind of emission control is needed on mine. lucky me!!! so i have some side pipes with some purple hornies. with the headers and the custom pipes and the mufflers it totaled under 300.

 

I have uploaded a picture on what i thnk is the cat but not a 100% for sure.

Also if I cut the muffler off would it be really load and would it effect anything.

thats what i thought to. it comes of the heades then it goes into the cat and back out. so pnly one cat.

Do you thinkit will hurt to cut the muffler off and just run it with the cat.

 

Look into a sweet pair of header mufflers and forget runnin pipes the whole way back haha
