Gear ratio?

Default Gear ratio?

HEY GUYS, i very interested in learning more about my truck! so i was wondering if someone could give me some insight on gear ratio! what would be the best for my blazer? 4x4? and maybe ratios for cars as well, the differences? what is best? i have a 72 chevy nova and 78 silverado as well as my blazer. so would like as much info as possible! thanks, happy new year!

What are you hoping to do with it? With 35's, you should be looking at 4.10's at a minimum. 4.56's if you didn't drive at highways speeds too much (mileage would suck). With the stock axles, you are pushing it with 35's so I wouldn't wheel it too hard.

someone ask what gear ratio i had once, and i don't have any idea! so mostly trying to get a better understanding how it all works! my blazer is mostly a daily driver with some mild off roading(trail riding and mudding) nothing real serious! i get real bad gas mileage in my nova, seems comparable to my blazer! it has a 350 bored 60 over, im told! and like i said someone ask what ratio i had. so i wanted to learn more about gear ratio!
