I have no idea.
So I just got a 1976 Chevy Blazer k5, I dont know much about these cars. Anywho ive had it for about two weeks now and it was running amazing. Today my boyfriend was driving it and he was messing with the gearing (hl h n l ll) and now it wont go into gear at all. The colum shifter stays in N, and if I put it into park while the engine is running it just makes a god awful grinding noise. Do you have any idea as to what happened and how to fix it?

Sounds like the transfercase isn't fully engaged, maybe between gears?
Is you're Blazer a full time 4wd model? Does it have the manual 4wd shifter in the floor?

yeah just shut the truck off, transmission in neutral and try to get the shifterback into a gear

My main issue is my steering column shifter wont go into gears. Thats the big one. Maybe my linkage is twisted?
We tried that, it is litterally stuck. I do believe it might be inbetween gears like he stated. Its just difficult for me to tell because I've never owned a vehicle with the transfer case shifter.
