ignition issues
I built a rock crawler out of my 88 K5.. In doing this I removed ALL computerized TBI parts and went with a 1 wire HEI distributor in order to run a straight propane system (like a forklift) ..
I used my K5 steering column and I'm not quite sure I connected my ignition switch up right.. i have 1 wire coming in 12v, 1 wire to coil and 1 wire to starter.. my volt meter thats wired into my coil wire goes to 0v when im turning it over then obviously to 13-14v upon firing... The motor will not fire until i let off the key and the key falls into the run position.. this is not that big of an issue when the motor is cold, its when my motor is warm that it acts like a flooded gasoline engine would act ...
im sure this is an easy one that im just not seeing ...but any info would help... I haven't really torn into it yet until i get some direction..
If i had a diagram of what color wire went where that would be a huge help...
