That they are...

So what exactly is the problem you are running into? You cannot remove the bolts that hold the ignition switch to the column? If so, you will likely have to drop the column down to get better access to the bolts that hold the ignition switch on.

Default Bump!

Working on a K5 Blazer.
I have the switch out and replaced, the actuator rods weren't connected to start with, so I can't just reverse the process. Cannot figure out how they attach given the angles bent into the rods (2ea).
The instruction with the replacement switch are gnarly.
Any help (photos preferred) would be uber appreciated.

I'll see what I can find in my '90 R/V factory service manual when I get home.

Thanks man, but I spoke too soon.
Once I took the seat out, so I could get my fat head under there, everything fell into place.

OK. Good deal! Glad you got it. I may still post up what I find when I get home.

You need to remove the bolts that go into the firewall on any GM steering column to lower it. Once those are out it will give you enough room to drop it down and access the dimmer switch and the ignition switch. I've done tons over the years and unless your doing a complete column rebuild there's no need to pull it from the vehicle.
