Default just got an 86 k5- carb linkage question

anyone know which linkages i can eliminate or if there is a way to hook them all back up the right way. had to toss the factory q-jet carb and put on an edelbrock performer 600. could not get all the linkages back on just the throttle would mount up. now i have 2 that are not hooked up could not find any threads anywhere. thanks in advance

there are only two items to hook up, the throttle cable and the TV cable.

do not drive your rig with the TV cable not hooked up. If you do your transmission will soon blow up.

A quick search on Summitracing.com will result in an Edelbrock adapter for the carb.

yeah cruise will be like some big rubber actuator. you have to buy the attachment for the kick down cable for these carbs. i bought one years ago and had the same problem, or you can just make your own with a bolt and some nuts but its kinda ghetto that way

86 will have a TV cable, not a kickdown. The correct adapter is absolutely necessary to the function and life of your overdrive transmission. Spend the money and do it right or you'll be spending more money.
The cable pull needs to be specific.
