Have a 1994 Blazer (Full size) with 350 CI, auto

Sat for about 6 weeks after a winter of trouble free snow plowing and developed following: when backing out of driveway, turning right as backing, about 100' and felt like someone through a steel bar through spoked wheel, screeching stop! Had to apply considerable amount of power in Drive then "bang" and drove free. Backed up and same issue at exact same distance. Now it does it backing any distance

Before I start taking things apart, any ideas??

Of course brakes were first I thought of, but constant repeat of incident and no forward issues whatsoever
