97 blazer front end popping when backing up or stoppin
I've searched this site over and I'm stumped on this.
97 Blazer 4x4
Changed the ball joints because I had a real bad popping sound, idler arm, sway bar end links and both front axle half-shafts. Fixed the popping sound I had.
I had 15,000 miles on all the parts I changed and I then notice this popping/clunk, maybe rubbing sound coming from the front of the vehicle when I'm coming to a stop. I also notice this sound when I'm backing up and coming to a stop. It happens worse it seems when I turn the wheel to the right and as soon as I start backing up, I get a real loud POP and then it doesn't do it anymore. It always happens when coming to a complete stop. It never happens when moving more than say 2-5 miles an hour. It happens on both sides of the front end and I can usually feel it somewhat in the floorboard, and it never seems to come from both sides at once, only one or the other.
Sooooo, I change the ball joints again, both upper and lowers on both sides and I changed the shocks. tourqued all the bolts on the front end checked the breaks and calipers and they seemed good and I Still got the pop or rubbing or clunking sound. Could it be impropely bled brakes? i've never bled them, but they seem fine.
Any Ideas?
