Default Loose Vacuum Actuator Hose Under Dash

Hello,

I am new to the forum and need help. I have an 86 diesel jimmy and I have trouble with my defroster. The floor heat works well, the vents work OK, and the defroster not really. I checked the vent door flap under the duct box and it works well. The plastic clip is intact as well. I found a vacuum hose disconnected up near where the linkage is for the door flap and the heater core temp linkage is. The hose black and light brown or tan color and has a connector on it. I am assuming this is for the defroster actuator. Does anyone know where this goes on? Do I need to take a lot more apart to get to the actuator? Pics?

Thanks for the help,

im really not that familiar with the vacuum set up as all the k5s ive owned over the years have not had a/c there for using the cable set up which is insanely easy. you can try running the truck and see if it has vacuum on it coming from the engine or move your selector around and see if it gets vacuum with it set on defrost

Thanks for the reply. I am definitely getting vacuum. Some of the vacuum actuators are working. I can get all the climate settings to work except the defroster. Here is link to a picture of the loose line. It looks like it just needs to be hooked up except I don't know where. I am hoping I don't have to dig any deeper into under the dash.
