Default NO BRAKES!!!

Ok well got the truck onthe road today..got the new (used rear) but when I went to ake it for a drive I notcied my brakes are horrible..the pedal goes straight to the floor..I didnt disconnect any brake lines in the process of changin the rear so i dont need to bleed the system...but when i did drive the truck to my shop in school the axles walked out on me and the drum separated from the brake assembely and i hit the brake when i saw that..could my wheel cylinder have jus blown up??but there was no brake fluid leaking from the cylinders or anything so im lost...

Do any rear end work lately? Sounds like a C clip went awol. The drum may fall off if there is no wheel on, and no lugs installed. Where the shoes installed correctly?

I can't fathom what else could casue this.
