I have a 1990 GMC Jimmy 5.7l. I have a couple of questions about gauges.

First: My oil guages is showing zero and every know and then it will jump up and then the neddle will shack and then go back to zero. i was wondering if it could be just the gauges or oil pressure witch.

Second: Is my speedomeer auge that has the trip metter. The trip meter still counts, but I am unable to reset the counter. The reset will push in and will also turn.

Where is another place I can order the gauges. I looked on LMC truck and they didn't list any for a 1990 for the speedometer they have oil gauge.

I was wondering if anybody else had the same problem.

My 1990 Jimmy has a broken speedometer I think. It doesn't seem to move at all. I replaced the electronic spee sensor and clean all electric plugs with electronic cleaner and nothing. I took the speedometer out of the truck and it looks like it has some rusty components. Where to find another one?????

 

i dont think i ever owned a k5 where the oil gauge worked. easiest would be to check the sending unit on the engine, pretty cheap and easy to fix before messing with the gauges.
