Replacing headlight bulb on 1986 K-5 blazer?
Hi there,
So I looked under the hood, and saw a black square part with wires coming off of it. Couldn't figure out how to take it off, and don't want to get a ticket. Can anyone help?
Thanks!

There is no stupid questions, period.
To remove the headlight sealed beam bulbs:
[ol][*]Disconnect the negative cable at the battery. Place the cable out of the way so it cannot accidentally come in contact with the negative terminal of the battery, as this would once again allow power into the electrical system of the vehicle.[*]Remove the mounting screws and detach the bezel from around the headlights.[*]Remove the headlight retaining ring screws. Be sure to remove only the screws which secure the headlight retaining ring - DO NOT disturb the headlight beam adjustment screws. The adjustment screws will be larger than the screws holding the retaining ring.[*]Pull the sealed beam unit forward and disconnect the plug from the rear.[*]Installation is the reverse of removal. Make sure that the number molded into the face of the lens is on top.[/ol]I hope that helps.
