Default Should I go for it?

Hello all, I'm usually in the 2nd Gen. category. But this saturday I have a chance to pick up a 89 Blazer at the auction. This is how I got my 2005 4-door Blazer. (paid $2795.00) Anyway this Blazer has 30748.3 miles!!! It was a park rangers vehicle and never left the park unless it was for maint. It has the maint. records as all vehicles sold by the county does. There is NO rust, Body is straight. It is a 4x4 350-V8 manual window cranks, Towing package, A/C, Power steering, Power brakes, ABS. The interior needs work. Has rubber floor mat and is worn. Dash is fine. Paint on outside is fair. The cowl by the front windshield is missing paint in areas. Comes with the light bar on top to. I could probably get it for $3500-4000.00. Should I ? Is it worth it? It is 25 years old, but the milage is awesome. I'll try to post a pic. Thanks for any advice.

Well it didn't pan out. Usually there are only a couple of people that show up for this auction once a month. But today over 150 people showed up. Mainly due to the blazer and they had 13 John Deere's 4x4 n 4x6's to auction off. Since there were a lot of "newbies" the prices go wild. The blazer went for $8395. I figure after taxes and title/registration. That blazer will run the guy $9400. Then he still has to put some work into it! Even though the miles were low, I don't think that was a deal. Oh well, there will be others to get.

Bummer about the auction. I think for half of that you could pick up a military diesel version!

holy crap that is way to much money for that thing unless it is in show truck quality those old military k5 blazers used to sell for 1-2k in pretty good shape a few years back.

but thats what happens when bidding wars start
