Default smog pump

I want to take off the smog pump and the crap running to my exhaust manifold, but there is a electrical line coming off the air pump I guess not real sure. I know there is a line that comes off the smog pump into this little air pump, and I was told that it circulated air into the exhaust manifold to help burn off the excess fuel in the manifold but don't know how accurate that is. I just want to take it all off. If only it wasn't a California build. If you have any insight it would be very much appreciated.

On one of my old trucks I removed the pully then had it machined ti fit a sealed bearing that would fit the pump shaft and reinstalled it so that it still apeared to be in place and functioning to get around visual inspection.
