Default Stalling sometimes

My 89 Jimmy is having a stalling problem. It doesn't happen all the time though. Today I drove it to the store and it was fine, then when I went to drive to work it would start then just stall. And it kept repeating this. A couple weeks ago I drove to work and went to start it on my way home and the same thing happened. I took it to the mechanic that time but it was driving fine when I took it to him and then he couldn't diagnose the problem. Any idea what could be the problem? I can't have this going on every other week, especially when I'm trying to go to work or the lake. Thanks for any advice

So when I start the truck, it smells like it is running really rich. So I am guessing it dies from being flooded. I'm thinking its one of 3 things, or a combo. Coolant Temperature Sensor, o2 sensor or EGR valve. Any help please?

Replace O2 sensor and CTS then report back.

Replaced CTS a few days ago. Everything seems to be running perfect now. Thank you

So things were going good, but today the stalling happened again. I managed to get it onto the freeway and the CEL came on for a minute then went away. After getting off the freeway and stopping at a light it was idling fine. Is this an 02 sensor problem maybe?
