Timing problem
I'm having some problems trying to reset my timing in my 92 k-5. the book says to disconnect the EST, but not if their is a check engine light but that is the problem, what can I do to correct my timing? Please help. Thanks

well my 91 says disconnect that wire. and to clear the check engine light , reconnect it after your done timing the engine.
that wire is tan with a black stripe in my blazer and is right where the vac booster is.
all that info should also be on the emissions tag in front of your radiator.
Good Luck
