I just got a 1988 K5 blazer that came from New York, so it has some rust issues I need to deal with. The first is the tailgate is bad!!! What other year tailgates would work on an 88. Its power now, but I don't care if I have to switch to manual, just as long as it works. Thanks

 

Any salvage yard should be able to give you this info but... I believe you will be able to utilize any 73 through 91 full size K5 tailgate. The hard part is finding one... they are usually the first item to be snagged off of a fullsize Blazer in a salvage yard.
And in case you are wondering... a Suburban tailgate will not work.
