Cool The $500 Jimmy

So i have the opportunity to buy a 01 Jimmy diamond edition off a buddy of mines brother that filled it up with diesel by accident and then couldn't get it to run after draining the fuel and adding gas (I think he said he changed the pump too). I'm on the fence cause i don't really need another vehicle, but i feel like this is too good of a deal to pass up. It has just over 100K and looks to be in good shape overall. Opinions? Think its worth the headache?

Basically to get it running again, is do like you already did by draining the diesel and filling it back up with gas. And crank crank the engine until it starts (which it should once it gets all the diesel out of the fuel lines and into the injectors.
I would also change the oil after you get it running again.

wonder if it wouldnt be a bad idea to maybe disconnect the fuel line up by the engine and prime the pump a few times or jump the relay to blow all that crap out of there. i doubt diesel actually hurt anything. check the spark plugs too make sure it didnt foul them out

I haven't got a chance to take a look at the truck, but that's pretty much exactly how i plan on going about getting it running. Swap in fresh spark plugs and than pull the fuel line off the spider and hook up some rubber line to dump into a gas can... jump the pump relay for a few, put it back together and cross my fingers.

ive seen diesel in a s10 before, but it wasnt straight diesel it was maybe like 20 % and it did run, it would start and die a few times then smoke a bit but once it was warmed up it would run fine.
