Default 1998 s19 blinker relay

Blinker relay runs on its own. turn signal post is in neutral, flasher switch is off. No outside or dash lights are flashing. I can hear it clicking as if a turn signal or flasher were operating. It is getting power to cycle from some place, but not operating anything. Is this relay "In Front" of each circuit? IE: It could have power going to it and thru it enough to cycle but, no switches are on to complete a circuit to lights? Thus maybe a bad relay? I know relays are cheap enough to try a new one, but the truck is a friend's, and not always available to diagnose.
Thx for reading.

No power directly to the relay. Power is routed through the multifunction switch first and then the hazard and turn signal duty cycle signal is routed back through the multifunction switch on the way to the loads.

I know it's your friend's ride, but try removing the turn signal fuse from the fuse box (Fuse 10) and see if it still makes noise. If it still makes noise when the signal fuse is removed, then it's not the relay. If the noise goes away then obivously replace the relay. Hopefully just a relay and not the signal switch itself.

Was bad multi-function switch when mine had similar symptoms. I first noticed the issue when hearing the relay making noise without turn signal switch moved from center position.
