hi everyone,
is 1999 blazer frame mounted or chassis?. at how many places are there vin no on a blazer and is there any thing else with which a blazer can be identified?.

It's a body-on-frame vehicle. The VIN is on a plaque mounted on the driver's side of the dashboard where it meets the windshield. The later year models also have it on a sticker on each body panel in a not easily visible spot.

@rriddle3: Thankyou for the information. i have a few more questions below.
what is the difference between ls and lt, secondly since it is body-on-frame, can i put a 2001 body on 1999 frame. my friends 1999 had a major accident and the body seems beyound repair.

LS is a lower model than an LT. LT's should have more options and power goodies, like leather and power moonroof and stuff. (Not saying LS's couldn't come with them, just more likely an LT did than an LS) And if the body on a vehicle is beyond repair, chances are the frame is also done for

well it had more of a roll over accident and i am quite sure that frame is pretty ok...
what i am not sure of is that a 2001 can be put on it.

A rollover could twist the frame I would think, depending on the speed and impact. Why do you want to swap bodies?
