Default 2000 Chevy blazer rear wiper motor problem

When i turn on my rear wiper motor the arm only comes up part way and then makes a vibrating sound. Seems like the arm is tight on the shaft. If i push it up with my hand it works, but as soon as I shut it off and turn it on it gets stuck again. Any ideas.
Thanks

I checked it out a little farther. Even though the arm is tight on the shaft I removed it and turned on the motor and it worked fine. Turns out the point where they attach together is stripped. Going to try a new wiper arm and I am hoping that works and I didn't let the motor shaft get stripped. Hope that this helps

Remove the rear wiper arm. Clean out the splines on the shaft from the motor with a pick. Reinstall. This worked on my old '00 Bravada.

Took the arm off and cleaned it but still not working. I am going to replace the wiper arm and see what happens. If this does not work I guess the arm on the motor is stripped?

I replaced the arm today and it still did not work. I assumed the shaft on the motor was stripped so got a new motor and all worked well. Just to make sure take the arm off and make sure the shaft turns as is supposed to. If it does start with the arm and do what i did.
