Default 2001 Blazer question

Hey guys, I’m looking at a 2001 Blazer LS on marketplace that’s only listed for $700.. in really good cosmetic condition but the guy says the engine is knocking.. would it be worth the cost of a new engine? It has 4 wheel drive as well. Thanks for any input.

Unless you do it yourself, add $2000 to that price. For $2700 you could buy a Blazer in a lot better condition.

I purchased a parts truck for 750, and mechanics charged 1500 to do the swap.

I had a bearing go in mine, and didnt want to risk taking the original apart, just to find a big old gash that wasnt repairable.
