Default Engine swap question

Hello,
I have a 1997 Chevy blazer s10 with the 4.3 vortec engine.
I was wondering if I would be able to put a 4.3 engine from a 1991 Chevy blazer s10? The 91 is not vortec.
thank you!!

Short answer, no.

I mean, anything is possible as far as motor swaps go with the right tools, know-how, time, and money. But if you're looking for a direct drop in, you'll have to look for a 96-98 Blazer 4.3.
