Default 2001 blazer/trailblazer

Just installed new motor...went to start and is starting in on position....could it be a bad ground....changed ignition switch already....could bad positive battery cables be at fault if they r corroded inside the caseing??

I’ll state the obvious but not sure on cure. You state replaced motor. Was not doing this before this change I assume so you must have something plugged in wrong under the hood most likely thing that happened. Your going to need the wiring layout for starting circuit and debug from that.
