2003 ZR2 transmission.
Hello everyone
I have a 2003 Zr2 the transmission decided to leave me today. All the salvage places tell me I need a transmission out of a 2003 ZR2. Is this true and what makes them that unique?

They don't have a clue what they are talking about. Any 4wd tranny from 98-05 from Chevy/GMC truck or Blazer/Jimmy will work. You might want to look into getting it rebuilt, that way you can choose what parts go into it.
