Default 29mpg!?

this is pretty insane. I was headed to syracuse today. 75 mph, the cruise 99% of the way, except to stop for toll booths and accelerate. I filled up when I hit 90, and went 209 miles on 7.034 gallons. that equates to 29mpg. I've managed to squeeze 21 mpg out of this truck before babying it, but 29mpg? and I wasn't easy getting out of those toll booths either. No CEL's, and I don't think it running lean... I thought maybe the math was wrong, or the tank didn't fill full on the fill up. but on the way back I got 214 miles on 7.5 gallons. That equates to 28mpg.

this is extremely odd, and it worries me a little

29, damn, I have gotten 25 before with my 2001 Jimmy, 4wd, 2 door. Are you sure you got it full of gas, sometimes they like to stop way early---just a thought, either way, good luck.

Yes I'm sure it was full, the second time backs up the first.

I usually average 15-18, city, and 19-21 highway. I've never seen this kind of mileage before!

But 29/28mpg while actually driving is insane. I will never see that.

That's amazing! What's your secret? lol
The most I've gotten in mine was 20mpg on a trip to and from Orlando.
