Being a Hunter/Outdoorsman, 4wd is a must for me. My Blazer is an everyday driver that turns into a taxi at the deer lease after a rain.

4WD. mostly a 2 wheeler but like the 4doodler for the soft sand on the beach. We have 28 miles of driveable beach here. Fun to watch the local deputies ticket the tourist 4doodlers that come here, and they think they can cut cookies and such in the sand. If they would read the signs on the beach approach roads, they would learn that the beach is a state highway with the same rules as any highway, and that the speed limit is 25MPH, and that the same rules apply for reckless drivers. Still fun to drive the length of the drivable beach and look at the ocean. I stay out of the surf for two reasons. The first is obvious. It's hell on the vehicle (salt) The second is if you are driving on the clam beds (in the surf) The Sheriff will cite you. The salt air, causes lots of problems with the vacuum system parts of the 4WD.

I have a 99 Bravada with the Smart Trak AWD. I like it. I have the option of 2wd for normal or auto 4wd when I go off road.

I have a 4x4, but have thought about making it 2x4 to keep it out the woods. Also have thought about conversation to ifs 4x4 on it.
