Default 4 door not 4WD?

I pray this is the right place.

I have a 95' chevy blazer. it has 4 doors and a transfercase. Today my friend told me that 4 door blazers can't be 4WD. I strongly disagree. I have this transfercase (https://static.am-autoparts.com/item/63df48c115.jpg) and have used it multiple times and have managed to break the 4lo button. So if I didn't have 4WD, would I have this?

Your friend is wrong. A 4dr most definitely can have 4wd.

your friends = noobs. 4 doors have a few things specific to them. The worst (other than the extra 2 doors ) is that it can not be a ZR2 blazer. The ZR2 package was the better 4wd package. That is all you wouldn't have.

Thanks a bunch. I definitely like "your friends = noobs". I think he's jealous cause he has a 2door 2WD. I also searched for a general idea of mudding limits on here and google, do you have a general statement for that?

Thank you so much. I'm with a friend wednesday. So I'll definitely find out what I can do. If I get stuck I know he can get me out. He has a Chevy 2500 HD with 37" tires.

watch out for low clearance and street of light duty A/T tires vs. Mud, and your broken 4wd... spell disaster IMHO

as for you Qtips.... where have you been the last 10 months? I have a 4x4x4

well, ive been mudding before, just not crazy mudding. the only part of my 4WD that's broken is my 4lo, which is mainly for towing, am i right? and my blazer is a few inches higher than stock for some reason. and i dont have a lift. my tires are pretty good, my buddy has 'em on his 86' bronco and they do him fine. he has 36's though

A 4wd version of most any vehicle will sit higher than the 2wd of the same. Wait till your friend finds out about minivans or Subarus being AWDs... lol.

my bad, maybe i should have specified. my 4wd blazer is a tad higher than stock other 4wd blazers. ie: my friend micheal has a 95 4wd blazer and mine is roughly 2 inches higher. its wierd, maybe im just going looney.
