Post 41-993's and what i found out

Well to start this off i ordered 6 AC Delco 41-993 plugs from rockauto the other day and they were are all gapped wrong. They were either gapped from .062 to .070 which i found odd since it states they are pre-gapped at .060. So i called AC Delco and asked what the allowable deviancy is for the gap size. Turns out they are actually supposed to be .059 from specs and are allowed .058 to .060 for use. I also asked if you were allowed to gap them and was told no but not given a reason.

I couldn't find any information on the amount of allowable gap for these plugs or if you could gap them on the interwebs so i'm posting this here. Hope this is helpful for someone and to make a note rockauto has been very helpful with shipping and my return order. These questions were also asked in relation to my 98 blazer LT 4x4. If there is a better place for this thread then hopefully a mod can move it to a more appropriate section.
