69' K5 advice
I have a 1969 K5 blazer that I'm looking to sell. It's been sitting for quite a while now, but it did run/drive when parked. I'm trying to figure out what it's worth, if anything. It has a good amount of rust and rot, and it does not have the original engine. It is actually my father's, and he has decided that it's time for it to go. I do not have a title for it, but i can probably get one if i do the paperwork for the state of NJ. Any help on figuring the value would be greatly appreciated. I can provide pictures after christmas if anyone is interested and wants to see it. Thanks!!

I would be surprised to see it bring over $500.

Sad to say that it probably is not worth a lot given that it has rust/rot as you say. I purchased my 74 for $400 running, driving, and licensed/inspected. Now, I do need to replace the front floor sections, inner and outer rockers on both sides, and the rear wheel arches, but all told, that is only another $600 or so in sheet metal.
It really depends on how bad the rust is and how much the panels will cost to replace said rust. In the end, if you find the right person, it could be worth $1k or more, but you may have to wait a while.. Getting it moving on its own will only improve your position.

If its just an old rusty blazer, they're not worth very much. If they are restored or lifted with goodies they are worth a little more. I bought my 91 k5 blazer (V1500) for 4250.00 in 03'. Now 20,000 miles older and 6 years later its worth only 2,000.00 per kelly blue book. The decline in Suv market has made the price of all trucks/suv's drop. I probably couldn't get more than 1,000.00 for my 78 k5 that I bought for 1200.00 in 02'. Maybe not more than 500.00![:@]

RE: 69 K5 advice
I bought a '72 K/5 back in 2000, had almost no rust but had a bad engine, for $600. Like G_78 said, unless they're restored or customized they go cheap.
After replacing the engine and a few other items, I only got about $1100 out of the old beast.
