Default '87 blazer/jimmy

i'm thinking about selling my 1987 GMC fullsize jimmy to buy a local dodge challenger. it runs but the engine has a miss. the body is solid with some rust and floorboard rot. has almost new 35" mud tires with no lift. will need new fenders. have title. needs catalitic converter. what would be a "fair" asking price. also is anyone interested. thanks.

Hey! welcome to the forums.. I say the blazer is worth around $2,800 USD or $3,000USD.. of course.. always ask OBO (or best offer) and see what other people are offering to pay for it.. (i.e. $2,800 OBO)

Here's what I got from nadaguides.com.
If it's a 4WD, then you can add another $75 to the price. Since it has some problems and needs some work, I'd say it's worth about $2200 (close to the low retail).

1987 GMC S15 JimmyUtility
Original MSRP: $10,171
Low Retail Average Retail High Retail
$2,125 $4,550 $6,500

I see speeddemon5560 has listed for an S15, not a full size jimmy.
I just looked on craigslist for pensylvania and didn't see any full size listed at all for comparasin. I could be looking in the wrong area also.
Just check your local advertising and see what they're selling for, if there aren't any around then it's probably worth a little more to someone.
Basically it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.
Sorry, probably not a lot of help.

Sounds fair to me.
If you had the time, tools and storage you could probably get more by stripping it and parting it out.
